Lynn Pierce is a senior nurse consultant for Baptist Health Care Leadership Institute. In that role, she develops annual organizational improvement plans for her clients throughout the United States and works with them to implement the strategies through four, smaller 90-day tactical plans. Lynn has more than eight years with the Baptist Health Care team and 20 years of clinical experience. Lynn brings the know-how of incorporating service excellence tools into daily practices to her client hospitals. Lynn ’s coaching role for her clients helps them embrace change and considerably enhance their cultures; her clients have seen as much as 49 percent increases in patient satisfaction scores and dramatic improvements in employee satisfaction. In addition to her coaching role, Lynn is a presenter for the Baptist Leadership Institute seminars “Creating a Culture” and “Advance Strategies.” She lectures specifically on how to commit to service excellence and how to hardwire success through systems of accountability.
Lynn previously served as a clinical leader at Baptist Health Care. She spent eight years managing the daily operations for a 45 bed Medical/Telemetry Nursing Unit at Baptist Hospital . Additionally, she managed the Acute Dialysis Unit, and served as leader for the Customer Loyalty Team. During her long nursing career, Lynn has worked as a staff nurse on a busy medical unit, as an ER nurse, a critical care nurse, a dialysis nurse and with case management. In an effort to help grow tomorrow’s work force, Lynn collaborated with other hospital leaders to establish an active Volunteer program at Baptist Hospital. Lynn holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama.
