Allan Fine is a Principal at Navigant Consulting. He has 22 years of health care consulting, provider, payer, pharmaceutical, medical device, managed care, strategy and marketing experience. He has extensive experience in strategy, marketing, market research, developing and implementing growth strategies, commercialization of new drugs, devices and technologies, international health care feasibility and marketing analysis, sales and facilitating board and senior executive retreats. Allan has assisted hospitals, managed care organizations, ancillary providers, pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device manufacturers and health care professional and trade associations develop, validate and implement enterprise-wide strategic plans, service line program business marketing plans, and has also evaluated and facilitated mergers, affiliations, joint ventures and acquisitions. He has designed and implemented marketing, managed care and sales strategies, and has conducted market research studies. Allan has assisted manufacturers design integrated commercialization strategies from product conception through launch, and conducted market analyses and developed strategies to secure appropriate reimbursement from both governmental and commercial payers for new technologies, devices and drugs.
Allan previously served as a Vice President at CHPS Consulting, prior to its acquisition by Navigant Consulting, and prior to that as a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young in its health care consulting practice. He also has served as a Vice President at Quorum Health Resources and has held management positions with Rush Contract Care and CNA Insurance Companies.
Allan is a frequent national speaker and writer on strategy, marketing, commercialization strategies, international health care, consumerism, managed care and product development. He is the author and co-author of four books and editor of several newsletters and journals, including Managed Care Quarterly and International Health Care Business Strategies. He has published over 60 articles in national professional publications and serves on the editorial boards of several health care periodicals. Allan serves on the board of the Health Industry Group Purchasing Association and is a former board member of the Society for Healthcare Planning and Marketing and the Alliance for Healthcare Strategy and Marketing.
He received his MBA in Health Care Administration from Bernard M. Baruch College-Mount Sinai School of Medicine, City University of New York and his BBA Cum Laude from Temple University.
