Winter Symposium a Resounding Success with Attendees

January 6-9, 2008 - Trustees, CEOs and executive/clinical leadership gathered at the The Ritz-Carlton in Naples, FL, for the Center's National Symposium on Governing and Leading Healthcare Organizations. The three-day program, which received excellent reviews from attendees, provided an opportunity to explore the exemplary governance practices that can generate improved organizational performance.

The winter program theme was Leading in Challenging Times: Responding to the Changing Environment. Overall, the event received very positive feedback from participants:

  • I thought the program was timely, focused and practical. Good combination of big picture and 'do now' sessions.
  • Virtually all of the sessions were at the CEO/Chairman level, with very appropriate topics. Outstanding, first-class speakers!
  • Great linkages among topics created a strong theme message with useful provocation for change.
  • I enjoyed being kept abreast of health care trends and best practices, as well as the chance to learn from other industries.
  • The program had very dynamic plenary session speakers, and I appreciated the variety of breakout sessions.

The Center is pleased to announce that conference recordings are available for purchase from Source of Knowledge. The recordings, which feature session audio synchronized with speakers’ presentations, can be ordered here..

The Center staff would like to extend special thanks to each of our members who showed their support by attending the Symposium, as well as to our outstanding faculty, whose contributions once again ensured a high-quality program.
