The Center for Healthcare Governance presents its fall Symposium on governing and leading health care organizations. In this three-day program, trustees and executive leadership will gain insights into the trends that are dictating reform and learn strategies and tools for navigating this increasingly turbulent environment. In plenary sessions, industry experts will offer analyses of the contextual issues framing the health care environment—from the effects of a global economic crisis, to the outcomes of health care reform’s passage, to emerging opportunities to engage staff and clinicians in clinical and cultural transformation, and rising expectations for transparency and accountability. In small group, interactive sessions, we’ll focus on innovative models and strategies for honing governance performance and expertise around such issues as capital planning, physician compensation, and achieving greater efficiencies and effectiveness.
Ample time will be provided for sharing, asking questions and seeking guidance from our top governance experts.
Consider arriving early to enjoy all that Chicago has to offer and register for the Sunday pre-conference workshop. This acclaimed Center offering is designed to increase trustees’ quality literacy and their effectiveness in guiding the improvement of quality and clinical performance in their hospitals and health systems. Highly interactive and participatory, participants will learn how to identify and use the levers of effective governance to advance the quality agenda and motivate optimal quality performance. You’ll get more out of your Symposium experience with the strong foundation that this workshop offers.
You may also want to arrange time for your board to meet with one of our symposium faculty members to review conference findings or to focus on an issue that your board is grappling with. Contact us for more information on how to schedule retreat opportunities during symposium off hours.
