Our National Board of Advisors, comprised of hospital CEOs and trustees, physician leaders, AHA and state association executives and governance thought leaders, counsels our organization on the development of our educational curriculum, key content and other products and services to ensure that our offerings are closely aligned with your needs.

Don C. Wegmiller 
Center Board Chair: Chairman Emeritus, Integrated Healthcare Strategies
Wegmiller is chairman of Integrated Healthcare Strategies' Healthcare Group in Minneapolis and is the former vice chairman and president of HealthSpan Health Systems Corp., Minnesota's largest health care network. He served as AHA chairman in 1987.

Richard de Filippi, Ph.D.
Chairman-Elect, AHA Board of Trustees; Trustee, Cambridge (MA) Health Alliance
De Filippi has been named Chairman-Elect for the American Hospital Association's Board of Trustees.  He has been a trustee at Cambridge (MA) Health Alliance since 1977 and is a member of its Finance, Public Health, and Strategic Planning Committees.

Todd Charles Linden
President & CEO, Grinnell Regional Medical Center
Linden is president and CEO of Grinnell Regional Medical Center, an 81-bed, private non-profit hospital in Grinnell, Iowa. He also serves on the AHA's Board of Trustees.

James E. Orlikoff

Orlikoff is president of Chicago based Orlikoff & Associates, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in health care governance and leadership, strategy, quality, organizational development and risk management.

Peter Pronovost, MD, PhD, FCCM
Professor of Anesthesiology/Critical Care Medicine, Johns Hopkins School of Medicine
Director, Johns Hopkins Quality and Safety Research Group
Pronovost, a practicing physician, is an associate professor in the Department of anesthesiology and critical care medicine and surgery at the St. Johns Hopkins University. He also serves as the director of the university's Quality and Safety Research Group and medical director for Hopkins' Center for Innovations in Quality Patient Care.

Lawrence Prybil Ph.D.
Vice-Chairman of the Sisters of Charity Health System’s Board of Directors, Compensation Committee Chair
Prybil received his PhD in hospital and health services administration from The University of Iowa College of Medicine in 1970.

Frank Sardone

Sardone is president and CEO of Bronson Healthcare Group, Inc., the second largest employer in Kalamazoo, Mich.

Ernest Sutton
Member, Leadership Development Committee; Trustee, Albemarle Hospital
Sutton is a trustee of Albemarle Hospital in Elizabeth City, N.C.  He is a member of the Leadership Development Committee of AHA’s Committee on Governance.

Bruce Vladeck
Interim President, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey
Vladeck is principal in Ernst & Young LLP's Health Sciences Advisory Services practice and east coast director of the company's academic medical service line. He served as administrator of the Health Care Financing Administration (now called the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) from 1993 through 1997.
