Richard de Filippi, Ph.D. Trustee, Cambridge (MA) Health Alliance

Mr. de Filippi has been a trustee at Cambridge (MA) Health Alliance since 1977 and is a member of the Finance, Public Health, and Strategic Planning Committees.  He is Chairman of the Board of the Alliance Foundation for Community Health, the Alliance’s philanthropy non-profit.  He is also a member of the Board of Network Health, an affiliated Medicaid managed-care organization.. 

An at-large AHA Board member, Mr. de Filippi has also served as a member of the Committee on Governance, and of the Region 1 Regional Policy Board .

A past member of the Massachusetts Hospital Association (MHA) board, Mr. de Filippi continues to serve as a member of MHA’s Trustee Advisory Council.  He is also on the Board of Directors of CeraMem Corporation, a high-technology company that manufactures environmental control equipment. 

Mr. de Filippi is a managing partner of the Ariano Partnership, a consulting group specializing in technology-based strategic planning.  An inventor, he holds U.S. patents plus foreign counterparts and is the author of numerous technical papers and book chapters. 

Mr. de Filippi holds an undergraduate degree from Amherst College and master’s and doctoral degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
